タイトル:Fluorescent sensors for continuous glucose monitoring

要旨:
Diabetes affects approximately 14% of the global adult population, leading to a range of complications and even death. To manage diabetes more effectively, non-invasive continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is gaining attention over traditional intermittent, blood-based methods. In this presentation, we introduce boronic acid-based fluorescent sensors for continuous glucose monitoring. The fluorescent sensors enable non-enzymatic, reversible glucose detection and are suitable for long-term use in the body. Using this approach, we developed hydrogel microsensors [1,2], microneedles [3], and nanoparticles, and demonstrated their performance for continuous monitoring. Boronic acid-based fluorescent sensors hold great promise for metabolic research and clinical applications.
