Hello, everyone! Thank you for reading the blog. I’m Eiji Matsumoto. The new semester has finally started at our school, so how are you all doing?
We have exciting news: a new PhD student from Indonesia, Intan Chairun Nisa, has joined our lab. I hope she enjoys her life in Japan and her research.
Let’s work hard together on our research, everyone!

We hosted a friendly welcome party for Intan and her family, alongside Vuri from Nakanishi Lab and Wiji from Sakai Lab—both wonderful international students from Indonesia, on October 24. I would like to give a big thank you to all who joined us, making it a delightful and memorable evening!
Once again, a warm welcome to Intan and her family to the “Deguchi Lab.” We’ve already become a wonderful family!!
